EDGE (Los Angeles) In this carnivalesque twist on the symphony orchestra, Pandemonium transforms a formal space like Royce Hall into a playground of new and different sounds - and invites everyone to become a musician in their ragtag theatrical troupe. After this dynamic and invigorating show, the audience may never look at a classical symphony orchestra in quite the same way (Sarah Taylor Ellis) STAGE and CINEMA (Los Angeles) It may be to my advantage that I never saw Stomp because I am still under the spell of The Lost and Found Orchestra, the nimble group of musicians who perform with such amazing skill in Pandemonium SOUTH FLORIDA THEATRE REVIEW: Pandemonium delivers a glorious symphony... The show may seem like anarchy, but it’s as tightly choreographed as a Cirque du soleil trapeze act and features complex music requiring immense discipline and concentration... MOVIES4ME Pandemonium at Royce Hall was pretty spectacular. STOMP-like beats; innovative instruments & a touch of vaudeville. Epically great FLORIDA MEDIA NEWS: While Stomp was enjoyable, Pandemonium brings it to a new level – mixing dance, comedy and acrobatics amidst a cacophony of bellows, bottles and musical saws. MIAMI HERALD: Two standout clown-like performers -- tall Steven Dean Davis, who sports a bandanna, and compact R.J. Samson, who wears a porkpie hat and favors a silver exercise ball as his mode of transportation -- are riveting... Pandemonium... explodes with rhythm, song, color and light. SUN SENTINEL: They could easily call the show "Pandemonium: The Lost and Found Orchestra" "Stomp 2: The Rise of Melody."...Stretching from Tim Burton-esque ditties to an explosion of symphonic bleats and blasts... |
